| I'll show you how strong of a leader I can be.

| So yes! I am liberated. I am officially DONE with this frickin scholarship and I'm returning to school tomorrow.
I don't think that I made it in though. Even if I don't... I've learned quite a few things about myself during this past week, mainly about how I procrastinate too much and also about my values in general -- what I believe in and such. And I also learned that I really need to sharpen up my essay-writing skills. Which is perhaps what I'm going to school for.
I've also learned what NOT to do for next year's college app essays. Hey, if I don't make it in, I guess you can call it a kind of test trial. By the way, mucho thanks to Stephanie, Zuodi, Tuan, Lauretta, JongYoon, Jon, Mr. Nguyen, and Ms. Marfia for helping me on my essays.
I should really STOP DITCHING SCHOOL. I'm going to get to work now.
Damn, it's almost February. That means 4 MONTHS UNTIL AP EXAMS!! And after AP exames, school is almost over. That means I'm going to make EACH AND EVERY DAY COUNT FROM NOW ON. Not gonna make the same frickin mistakes I made last year.
Gotta learn how to move on from one challenge to the next.
By the way, I was working on my essays for this enormous scholarship today and I got a phone call saying that I won a scholarship that I applied for earler!! That one's for the Red Cross Pacific Area Conference in Long Beach. Yep, I'm going in March.
So yep. I'm happy. And I'm DEFINITELY NOT going to let these last 4 or 5 months slip from me.

| Take on a profession that will be fulfilling for you. Give back to the community so that you feel fulfilled. Help other people and give back what they have given you.
You should have that ability to overcome challenges. When you have a challenging profession, you will always be able to have somewhere to push over and some kind of challenge to accomplish.
If you find a passion, you must follow it. Passions may change, and you have to be able to move on with your life. It is VERY complicated.
Just some stuff I learned today. Not expressed very eloquently but whatever (cough cough Zuodi).
Today I went to Ms. Marfia's room after school to have her critique my essay. She actually really liked it, and just gave me a few pointers here and there that I really thought made sense. She told me to add a few more paragraphs to my essay in order to clear up some ideas.
Afterwards I went down to Mr. Nguyen's room to have him critique my essay. And he absolutely SHOT ME DOWN. He told me to condense my 1-page essay by getting rid of all the "fat and fluff". He called my essay arrogant and criticized my writing style. Then I realized maybe Marfia liked my essay because she's a bit arrogant herself.
It was great. Thank you Mr. Nguyen for your constructive criticism. I have now found a formidable opponent.
I mean, really. I'm going to grow a lot in his class.
By the way.
I'm 17 now and I need to make a new Xanga because I'm NOT an idealist.
